As a small business in Northern California, Virtue is dedicated to promoting wellness in our local communities. With a health-forward product line, we’re proud to support school districts, animal sanctuaries, and sustainable practices that nurture both people and the planet.

Our initiatives

Juice Pulp Donations to Animal Sanctuaries

Each fresh juice bottle uses two pounds of fruits and veggies. As you could imagine, after each day of production we end up with a lot of pulp!

In 2024, we partnered with local 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal sanctuaries to donate all of this amazing pulp for rehabilitating animals. Every week, our juice pulp feeds hundreds of chickens, goats, cows, pigs, and more! The nutrients from our fresh produce help keep these animals healthy as they recover from illness and injury.

Healthy Granola for School Districts

Thanks to California's Universal Meals Program (UMP), kids in every school district in the state are able to enjoy free breakfast and lunch every day. This initiative has helped reduce income disparity and child malnutrition in the state. Children now get to enjoy farm-to-school meals prepared with premium, local ingredients!

In 2024, Virtue began supporting a number of California school districts with our nut-free granola recipe for yogurt parfaits and breakfast cereals.

Carbon Friendly Coffee

Thanks to our friends at Bellwether Coffee, we're roasting our coffee on a cutting edge, electric and ventless roaster. 

By using electricity instead of natural gas to roast, our Bellwether reduces our carbon footprint of coffee roasting by an average of 90%. 

With the footprint akin to the size of a refrigerator, we're able to roast in-house at our production center in Vacaville using sustainable practices.
